The Role
We are recruiting a skilled Sous Chef to join a 50–70m private/charter motor yacht operating between Fort Lauderdale and the Caribbean. This role is ideal for a strong, organised chef who enjoys working within a larger galley team and supporting a Head Chef in delivering high-end guest dining and consistent crew meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily galley operations
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation for owners, guests, and crew
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and cleanliness
- Assist with provisioning, stock rotation, and inventory control
- Step in to run the galley during the Head Chef’s leave or off-watch periods
- Coordinate closely with interior for service timing and presentation
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience as Sous Chef on yachts or in high-end hospitality environments
- Strong foundational culinary skills with flexibility across cuisines
- Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
- Positive team player with a professional attitude
- Comfortable working on both private and charter programs
Requirements
- STCW (valid)
- ENG1 Medical Certificate
- B1/B2 visa required
- Food & Hygiene Level 2
