Sous Chef – 50–70m Private / Charter Motor Yacht

The Role

We are recruiting a skilled Sous Chef to join a 50–70m private/charter motor yacht operating between Fort Lauderdale and the Caribbean. This role is ideal for a strong, organised chef who enjoys working within a larger galley team and supporting a Head Chef in delivering high-end guest dining and consistent crew meals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in daily galley operations
  • Assist with menu planning and food preparation for owners, guests, and crew
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, organisation, and cleanliness
  • Assist with provisioning, stock rotation, and inventory control
  • Step in to run the galley during the Head Chef’s leave or off-watch periods
  • Coordinate closely with interior for service timing and presentation


Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience as Sous Chef on yachts or in high-end hospitality environments
  • Strong foundational culinary skills with flexibility across cuisines
  • Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
  • Positive team player with a professional attitude
  • Comfortable working on both private and charter programs


Requirements

  • STCW (valid)
  • ENG1 Medical Certificate
  • B1/B2 visa required
  • Food & Hygiene Level 2
