We are recruiting an experienced Captain to join a 35m private motor yacht operating a Mediterranean program. This is a permanent position on a single-season vessel, homeported in Southern France / Italy.

The ideal candidate will be a confident leader with a hands-on approach, strong operational awareness, and solid engineering knowledge. This role suits someone who values continuity, runs a tight ship, and fosters a positive, professional onboard environment.

The Role

As Captain, you will have full responsibility for the safe operation, navigation, and overall management of the vessel. You will oversee crew, operations, compliance, and guest experience, while maintaining high standards across safety, maintenance, and administration.

Longevity and stability in previous roles are highly valued for this position.

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as Captain on yachts 28m+
• Demonstrated longevity, with at least 2 years in a Captain role on one vessel
• Strong engineering knowledge with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
• Confident leader able to motivate and manage crew effectively
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Solid knowledge of Mediterranean cruising grounds, including Turkey and Greece
• Strong administrative and accounting capabilities
• Native-level Italian

Required Qualifications

• Master 500 GT (minimum)
• AEC 1 & 2 (preferred)
• STCW (fully valid)
• Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
• Seaman’s Discharge Book
