We are currently recruiting a Chief Officer to join a 40m private motor yacht operating a truly global cruising program. This is a permanent position, ideal for an experienced officer who enjoys bluewater cruising, variety, and being part of a well-run private operation.

The yacht is currently undergoing works in a shipyard in Italy, with plans to commence an extensive world itinerary shortly thereafter.

The Role

As Chief Officer, you will work closely with the Captain to ensure the safe navigation, efficient operation, and overall smooth running of the vessel. You will take responsibility for deck operations, safety management, and watchkeeping, while supporting long-range cruising and diverse operating environments.

This role suits someone who is adaptable, travel-oriented, and confident operating across different regions and conditions.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 4+ years of professional yachting experience
• Previous experience in a Chief Officer or senior officer role on similar-sized vessels preferred
• Strong navigational and seamanship skills
• Confident, organised, and safety-focused
• Keen interest in long-distance cruising and exploration
• Professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset

Required Qualifications & Eligibility

• Chief Mate 3000 GT
• Valid B1/B2 visa (mandatory)
• Valid STCW and medical certification
